I found the following on Bobby1’s Blog, good source for natural disasters and pandemics around the world. Apparently, a large forest fire near Chernobyl in Russia has created a plume that contains radionuclides, notably plutonium over eastern Europe, Asia, Alaska and now moving over the west coast of the United States.
